German Regional Final of the Global Student Challenge at DAV/BVL Campus

23 February 2018

Students from Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg claim victory at the German Regional Final of the Global Student Challenge. The team from Magdeburg turned out to be the dark horse of the competition. Sweeping in with a vengeance in the final round they wiped out the competition. Their strategy results in an incredible score and secures a spot in the Global Final at Windesheim.

Last Saturday the BVL campus in Bremen was buzzing with excitement. A total of 64 students from 13 universities gathered to battle for the honor of representing Germany. Students were challenged to perform individually and in teams.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Wimmer (BVL) shared insights about developments in the business of logistics. Digitization was one of the key trends highlighted and emphasized throughout the day. In sharp contrast, storytelling, turned out to be a highly sought-after people skill.

A great opportunity to interact with Robert Gora (Siemens) and Eelco Wever (Slimstock) was present.

Storyteller Sriram Vaikundam Swaminathan captured the judges, taking them on an innovative journey with his individual pitch. His prize is to travel alongside logistics expert Andre Kreie experiencing supply chain in developing countries. Thanks to host DAV and team for this great event!
